Overview
You will have an opportunity to participate in hands-on activities of daily living geared towards encouraging independence, and to demonstrate ethical behavior related to providing personal care to the people you are supporting. 

Notes: Class will be held 9am – 5pm with a 30 minute lunch break. This class will meet requirements for completion of the 40 Hour Residential Services Curriculum Skills Lab.  Any staff hired on or after January 1, 2016 who did not complete their training by February 26, 2016 will need take the full 8-hour Chapter 12 Skills Acquisition Course by 12/31/2018.

Cost
$50 per student. This price covers the $42/day DDA reimbursement to the agency as well as supplies needed to complete the class.

Continuing Education
This class is approved for 8 hours of DDA Continuing Education Credits.

About the Trainer
Krista Nieman is the Training Resource Manager for Puget Sound Regional Services. She has been in the field since 2000, starting as a Direct Support Professional in residential and vocational settings. Krista is an experienced trainer who believes in bringing fun and real-life experiences to her classes.
